Hi, my name is Wioleta Maj and I am a Berlin based product designer. I started to work in this field in 2012. Currently I am working full-time at Delivery Hero AG as a senior product designer.
I graduated in Digital Media M.A. with a focus on interface and interaction design from the University of the Arts Bremen.
My go-to programs for interface design and prototyping are Sketch,InVision, Illustrator and Photoshop. However, if I need to create animations I usually use Principle or After Effects, depending on the complexity or write examples in HTML/CSS.

All of my design projects start with a research phase. Questions I try to answer are usually: Who is it for, why is it needed, what should it do? Gathering user requirements is essential in this phase, in order to understand the needs and be able to create a product which is actually relevant to the user.
After the research phase I start to prototype. If the task is rather complex, I use paper prototypes at the beginning in order to have a rough outline of the project. After this I usually create low-fidelity wireframes. Depending on what will be tested by users, I create either before or after the user testing the final high-fidelity prototypes.
Finally I test the prototypes with users. This is usually a great way to see whether flows or interactions need improvement, before they get developed. However this is always project and time dependent. In the end I usually end up writing tickets and specifying the project for the development team.
